Dario Spini is a full professor of social psychology at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lausanne. A recognized specialist in life courses, vulnerability, and aging, he directed the National Center of Competence in Research LIVES (2010–2022), a major interdisciplinary program bringing together more than 130 researchers from 11 Swiss institutions, dedicated to the study of vulnerabilities throughout the life course. His work focuses on identity dynamics, resilience processes, longitudinal and comparative methods, and the inclusion of older people in society. He is also co-editor of the book Withstanding Vulnerability throughout Adult Life (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023), which synthesizes the results of 12 years of research on these themes.
