José Américo Nabuco Leva Ferreira de Freitas

José Américo Nabuco Leva Ferreira de Freitas is a cell biology researcher specializing in the study of cellular senescence and gene regulatory networks associated with aging. He currently holds a postdoctoral research position at the Mondor Institute for Biomedical Research (INSERM U955) in Créteil, France.

Holding a PhD in cell biology, he conducted his doctoral research at the Necker Enfants Malades Institute and the Sorbonne University, where he focused on the dynamic modeling of gene regulatory networks involved in cellular senescence.

Among his notable contributions, he co-authored an article entitled "Dynamic Modeling of the Cellular Senescence Gene Regulatory Network," published in 2023 in the journal Heliyon. He also co-authored a review in 2024 on the computational modeling of aging-related gene networks, published in Frontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
